Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬-‭16

Isaiah calls Jesus the Prince of Peace. Therefore, Everything we do, our whole lives, should be centered on Christ. Every word that leaves our mouth, every penny we spend, every show we watch-yep, I said it! As I write, I can’t help but think about this verse from Philippians 4:8 -Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things”.

As we discussed on day one of this week, God knows that if we are left to our own devices, we could wander into dangerous territory; therefore, he directs us away from such things.

But how do we know what meets the requirements of those attributes in Philippians 4? I think Colossians 3:15-16 answers that when it says to let the message of Christ fill your lives and to teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. We must meditate on the Gospel and the Word of Christ while walking alongside other believers. Together, we learn, share wisdom, and worship the Lord, unified in Christ.
