"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
John 14:27
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7

Before I started following Jesus, worry seemed to be a form of responsibility. If something bad was happening and I identified with its pain, I became one of the characters in the drama. When I started trusting the Lord with my life and began learning about His ways, it became evident that anxiety and fear were the opposite of the peace and joy I discovered in His kingdom. Now, I can turn every one of my problems over to Him and confidently trust Him to give me a solution. My responsibility is to abide in the awareness of His presence and live in peace and harmony with God. I pray that in the face of every dilemma He will help me patiently wait for His illumination.
