When I think back on my life, I can recall specific moments and memories of God speaking to me, leading me, and convicting me. As a young child, I was (and still am) fully convinced that God is who he says he is. Some moments in my life were turning points of tough decisions, some were pushes of encouragement, and others were moments of correction.
Our stories may be similar or really different, but as we follow Christ, I hope we all have moments of visible light. The thing about light is no matter how dark it is, even a glimmer of light shines through. To me, this is the beauty of Christ. No matter how distant that we feel, alone we feel, unworthy we feel, or shame-ridden, with a flicker of light (Christ), we can awaken once more. By God’s kindness and mercy, we can awaken once more to actively participate in His holy work once more.
