“For if You forgive men when they sin against You, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
Matthew 6:14-15
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32

I thank God for forgiving and reconciling me to Himself and cleansing me of my sin. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing because without it I wouldn’t be able to maintain many of my relationships very long. He demonstrated to me how it’s done by forgiving me and now I can follow His example by forgiving everyone else. Even though it is challenging, I am always better off when I choose to forgive instead of harboring bitterness, resentment or animosity. I am grateful that on the cross, in His most difficult hour, Jesus made the choice to forgive everyone, including those who were responsible for His death. I pray for His help to bless those that annoy me, do good to those who dislike me and express kindness to those who communicate different values than I have.
