Well, eternal life really does come down to one question…Do you believe? Jesus asks Martha, and she responds, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” This is Martha’s resurrection moment…the profession of her faith that secures her eternity in heaven.
I remember the moment that I answered the one big question in my college dorm room. I was tired of trying to find fulfillment on my own…in alcohol, performance, unhealthy relationships, and other misguided sources. I chose to believe and say, “yes, Jesus, you are the Son of God, you are my Savior, you died and were resurrected.” That forever created a turning point in my story.
