Every Christian should apply verses of the Bible in their life because it is this truth that sets us free and fills us with the peace of God. As written in this passage, we cannot do all things through life if we do not have faith, because, without faith, we do not have Christ’s strength.
What Paul meant when writing this scripture was: no matter what circumstances we face in this fallen world, good or bad, with Christ to strengthen us, we can be content with what we do have. When the road becomes rocky, Christ will strengthen you to endure, and when things are going well, he will help you remain humble in your triumphs.
I have drawn both strength and peace in these words from the Bible during my life. Growing up in a Christian home, I knew at an early age that I wanted and needed Jesus in my daily life. Growing up with some tough disappointments, it was hard to remember to lean on Jesus to help guide me, and as I tried to make it through on my own, I always failed miserably.
As I grew into an adult and continued to battle with resolving serious family and relationship problems on my own, I found that only through growing and strengthening my faith in God was I able to stand strong and persevere when these hardships occurred. As you can imagine, I didn’t always overcome all the problems, but with my trust in God, I was able to move on from them with His Love, peace, and grace.
It is important to remind each other that as we go through life, everyone is going through some kind of crisis or hardship, but with our encouragement to seek and trust God, we can all gain God’s strength!
