"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.' The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory."
Romans 8:15-17
"Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God."
2 Timothy 1:6-8

Just as the sun is radiating energy continually, God is imparting His power, giving life to my physical body in a way that transforms and regenerates it continuously.

However, in the same way that clouds block the rays of the sun, my negative attitude impedes the flow of His energy so that I squander its effect and forfeit the healing power of His Spirit.

He has not given me a spirit of fear; I am blessed with the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind so that I may abide in His presence moment by moment and day after day.

But my attitude towards life requires that I make choices; gratitude or complaining; love or animosity; kindness or malice; forgiveness or resentment; faith or fear.

I pray that God will help me reject negative attitudes when they hover around me and simply be still so that I am aware of His glory.
