As Jesus began his ministry, we see many accounts of wonders, miracles, the sick being healed, and the embarking of accounts that hold true in ministering to us thousands of years later. As Jesus was walking along the shore in Galilee, he offered the disciples the opportunity to follow Him. In this day and time, we are offered daily (multiple times daily) the choice of what and who we are going to follow, chase after, be influenced by. Most of the things that we follow either on social media or in real life offer us temporary satisfaction. As it says in the book of James “life is but a vapor.” When we have the choice of what we invest in, Jesus not only offers us the option to behold an everlasting life; he offers us the option to partner with Him in sharing Hope with the individuals around us. Do you actively participating in “fishing for men?” Why or why not?
