“And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded, for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.”
Mark 6:51-52
“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!”
Psalm 139:23-24

What more did the disciples need to see Jesus do to fully trust and believe in Him? It’s an easy question for me to ask of the disciples despite personally modeling the same lack of trust in God and His abilities each and every day. I lose count of how many times I’ll plan God out of a situation or circumstance. Or how many times I try to take control of a situation since God doesn’t seem to know what He’s doing. Jesus is so gracious to me as He was to His disciples, still entrusting them time and time again despite knowing full well that it’d only be a matter of time before they put their trust in other things for comfort, fulfillment, or security. God, please search my heart and help identify areas in my life I still don’t fully trust You with. Please help me release those to You, seeking Your will for my life, not my own.
