"Then they gathered around him and asked him, 'Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?' He said to them: 'It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'"
Acts 1:6-8

When I started following Jesus, I was 21 years old. I had grown up in a traditional church and was very active in it, but I wasn’t following Jesus. I believed in God, but I didn’t know much about him. It wasn’t until I was about to lose my family because of the combination of alcohol and gambling that God helped me turn my life around.

Because of many awesome experiences that the Lord allowed me to have, I have personally observed God’s power. Now, as a witness of God’s resurrection life, I can testify to that which I know to be true about Him. When Scripture comes alive by applying its instructions to my circumstances and life situations, I discover God at work in marvelous ways. No one can ever take those things away from me.

I want to spend the rest of my life testifying about the goodness and greatness of the Lord. I will sing his praises, shout aloud about His victory on the cross and proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord of lords and King of kings.
