"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22-23
"My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
1 John 2:1-2

My relationship with the Lord is the most significant one I have. I am truly dependent on Him for everything vital. His faithfulness is unrelenting, even when I am not faithful. His mercy and grace flow continually and are always available. In periods when I am preoccupied with other interests or concerns, it doesn’t take long before His peace and joy begin to disappear. They are replaced with tiny irritations that get progressively worse and eventually lead to frustration and anger. Without realizing it, I find myself absorbed in unintended thoughts of negativity and uncertainty. Then, in a moment of brief stillness, I sense the Lord’s presence and all I have to do is redirect my thoughts toward Him to escape the darkness that overtook me. I thank God that He is always there for me, even when I am vacillating.
