"Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."
Matthew 6:10
"Going a little farther, He fell with His face to the ground and prayed, 'My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.'"
Matthew 26:39

One of my problems in the past has been to try and control other people and events that are happening. Learning the difference between what is and is not my duty or responsibility is a process that is always before me. One thing is always certain for me to do and that is to abide in the conscious awareness of God’s presence and continually pray for His will to be done. By trusting Him in every situation I can simply be an observer of His awesome power. It is comforting to know that I don’t have to repair everything that is broken. I pray that God will help me restrain myself and trust Him instead of trying to fix things or people that aren’t happening or behaving the way I think they should.
