God doesn’t look on my outward appearance; He looks at my inner being. I don’t have fellowship with Him physically; I commune with Him spiritually.
My outer body is to my spirit what a shell is to a seed; it is the container for the real me. It is incredibly complex, but it is not who I am.
The Bible instructs me to love God with all my heart, soul, strength and mind; all of which I want to do. Yet, as difficult as it has been for me to comprehend it, none of those things are the real me.
They are means by which I can express myself in both the physical and spiritual realm, but they are not able to have fellowship with the Lord. Only I can do that; the one who was raised from the dead with Jesus Christ.
I pray that God will help me know and understand more fully who I am in Christ.
