When I came to faith in Christ, it didn’t take long for me to realize that something supernatural had taken place. My addiction to alcohol was destroying my marriage, and I had tried earnestly to stop drinking. All of my efforts were failing until the night I called on the Lord to help me as I opened my heart for Him to come into my life. That night, the desire for alcohol left me immediately. Other addictions I had took time and discipline to overcome, but my deliverance from alcohol was a blessing from God. Later, I learned that the Holy Spirit was working in my life and, when I cooperated with Him, wonderful things would happen.
People who knew me saw the changes, and this afforded me the opportunity to testify about the Lord’s power working in my life. Every time I would share my experiences with other people, it was as if I was on a witness stand in a court of law, telling people what I had personally seen, heard, and experienced. I have been doing that ever since and what I am sharing is simply the work that God is doing in my life as I get closer and more intimate with Him.
I thank God for His promise that through His Spirit leading and guiding me, I am able to share my faith with other people.
