If Christ is the head of His Church, which He is, then not only is He over us, but He also is our guide, the control center for how we each do our part and build up the body. When left to our own devices, even our best attempts to love each other well and build up the church fall short of what Christ’s love working in and through us can do.
At the same time, because God knows us, His direction is always considerate, even if it’s challenging, sanctifying, even if it’s surprising. What special work is God leading you to do in this specific season? Is there anything keeping you from stepping into that? As we each continue to embrace God’s callings on our lives, we can trust that He who is in all and over all is piecing together the whole body for His glory.
