“After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body.”
Ephesians 5:29-30

I wish I was more consistent with taking care of myself, my health, and my body. I have never “hated” my body, but I have certainly mistreated it from time to time. In the same way, I have never “hated” my wife, but I have definitely neglected and mistreated her on many occasions. That is why it is so good to remember how Christ loved the church…and, by extension, how Christ loves us as members of his church.

We need to consistently care for ourselves. And just as importantly, we need to intentionally care for the important relationships around us…our spouses, children, and friends. Who do you need to do a better job of taking care of today?
