"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7

The holidays are normally a time of insane busyness! I find myself constantly under pressure trying to find the “perfect gift” for friends and family, attempting to get time in for family gatherings, putting up decorations, and checking all the boxes of our own family traditions we want to make.

To be honest, a lot of anxiety can set in with my desire for Christmas time to be perfect for my family and those around me. This is a perfect passage that redirects my focus to what really matters this time of year. Because of the coming of Jesus, we have PEACE! I’m reminded to not be anxious about pressuring myself or others around me. May this season refocus us to give thanks for the birth of our savior. May we rest in his peace and prioritize celebrating his birth and refocus on honoring the birth of the King of Kings!
