“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.””
Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭

This passage is well-known as the Great Commission. It comes as Jesus sends his disciples out into the world with a mission. It’s important to recognize this is Jesus’ commission (command) to us, not a great suggestion. In our imperfections, flaws, and humanness, God empowers us to share with others who He is. No matter where we are on our spiritual journey, we all have a story. A way we have come to know God and grow in our knowledge of His love. And I guarantee you, wherever you are today, there is somebody who needs to know or be reminded of just that.

Our responsibility is to GO. When we feel uncertain, unsure, scared, and don’t know the words, may we cling to Jesus’ words: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
