“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
Isaiah 43:2
"Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth."
Colossians 3:1-2

When my heart is set on pleasing God, the most mundane experiences are turned into delightful moments filled with peace and joy. On the other hand, if He is not in the center of my thoughts, my ego takes over and its propensity for drama produces chaos, conflict and confusion. In those moments of stress and apprehension, a simple redirection of my thoughts toward Him is all it takes for my heart to be at rest so that I can return to abiding in the security and awareness of His presence. I am continually amazed at the power that emanates from the fellowship I have with the Lord. The confidence I receive from His word and the assurance that He is always in control gives me all of the light I need to navigate through the darkness of any turmoil surrounding me. I pray that God will help me remain more resolute in my determined purpose to know Him more intimately.
