The discovery that my life and my life situation are not the same has made a tremendous difference in the way I am able to view my circumstances. My life is in the Lord through the cross. Because of it, I died to my old self and began a new life in His Kingdom. That life is His life in me and never changes. My life situation is in a continual process of change because of my circumstances and the events that are going on around me. Sometimes they seem to be good and other times they are challenging, very much like a roller coaster. But my life in Him is always the same because of His presence. Everything I need has already been provided so I don’t have to wait for anything to experience the peace and joy that is able to sustain me in every life situation. Living in the awareness of His love, acceptance and forgiveness gives me a stability that I never had when I thought my life and my life situation were the same thing. I thank God for showing me the difference.
