This passage makes my eyes well up with tears even as I read it. God is so very good. Psalm 56:8 tells us the Lord has recorded every tear we’ve ever shed. Wow! I have no clue how many tears I’ve shed in my lifetime, but He is so intimately acquainted with me that He does!
Jesus told us that we would have struggles and trials in this world but to take heart because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). We can look to God during times of pain and sorrow, knowing that He is near, He is compassionate to us, and that in Jesus, we can overcome these moments with hope. His promise here in Revelation is that one sweet day, we will cry no more, we will mourn no more, we will suffer no more. Glory to God!
