The wonderful things Jesus taught and the example He set are the way I want to live my life. My problem is that I can’t do it in my own strength. It is only through the Cross that I am able to be a disciple of His. God has provided it as the only solution for the guilt and shame of my life. The consequences of every sin I have ever or ever will commit are washed away by the blood that Jesus shed at Calvary. It is also through the Cross that I am able to surrender everything to Him because in Him I have everything I need to live in His Kingdom. As I die to my ego and yield my life to the Lord, Christ is the one who bears His fruit in my life. In every difficult situation I face I have an opportunity to experience His love, joy and peace.
