“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18

For years and years after I started following Jesus I had many goals for my life. I was very project oriented and loved to get things done. I measured my success based on the completion of projects. When I met an overwhelming resistance to an objective I made adjustments or abandoned them. I can’t count the number of projects I started and never finished.

Then, one day I came to the realization that God had a goal for my life and I needed to focus on that instead of all my projects. I reasoned that he had a purpose for me that was far superior to anything I could conceive or believe.

The only obstacle I was facing was the awareness that what he wanted was an impossibility for me to accomplish in my strength, intellect or ability. You see, His goal for my life was to transform my character into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.

The only way that can possibly happen is for Him to do that. My part is to simply surrender unconditionally to whatever He wants to do in me, through me and around me. The transformation is completely up to Him.
