I am thankful for the day when I learned about the peace of God. I’ll never forget the night of November 4, 1964 when I confessed to Him how messed up my life was. I was in bondage to destructive habits that were ruining my family. I had tried and tried to change but it was all to no avail. Then I called upon the Lord for help and I felt a tremendous weight lifted off from me. I didn’t understand what was happening but I knew the burden was gone. It was nothing more than a cry for help and He was there, rescuing me out of a deep pit of guilt and shame. As I began to learn more about Him, I realized what happened that night. He saved my marriage. He saved my family. He set me free from the chains of darkness that engulfed my soul. I have seen Him work in so many different ways since then but that night was really special. I thank God for the redemption and peace I have through my Lord Jesus Christ.
