"You, Lord, are my lamp; the Lord turns my darkness into light. With Your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, His way is perfect: the Lord's word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in Him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure."
2 Samuel 22:29-33
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
Psalm 119:105

My behavior and speech are always a reflection of my attitude and make clear to others whether I am walking in the light of God’s presence or the darkness of fear and doubt. Ever since I started following Jesus, His word has been a light that guides me when I am surrounded by negativity. The more I know and understand Him and His ways, the brighter the light shines in my heart. Just as the illumination of a light bulb has varying degrees of wattage, so the radiance of His majesty has been getting progressively brighter in my life. Many situations that used to trouble me and cast shadows of frustration and anger no longer affect me in a negative way. Now, instead of driving in a thick fog when the light I have isn’t sufficient enough for me to see clearly, I pull over and wait for the radiance of the Lord’s glory to burn the gloom away. I thank God that He is always with me so that I have a refuge of security and protection when my light isn’t adequate for my circumstances.
