I appreciate a good house plant. But I have learned that even plants labeled “evergreen” or perennial does not last without basic care. Plants are not self-sustaining and need at the least some water and sunlight. When I think of the everlasting capacity of God, thankfulness swells in my heart. “He never grows weak or weary.” Our earthly circumstances and hardships are not too big or much for God. He desires a relationship with us so that He can be our source of everlasting life, hope, and strength.
“Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.”
Isaiah 40:28-29
