Psalm 23 ends by telling us again that we do not walk through this life on earth alone. The promise is magnified by reminding us of God’s character of goodness and love. Any goodness and love we get to experience this side of heaven comes from Him. The same goes for those who do not even believe in or recognize God. We all receive the grace of being in a world created by God that mercifully includes many moments of goodness and love. I pray for conviction to share the gospel with non-believers so they can share in the fullness of God’s goodness and love that only comes from knowing and accepting Christ.
I also pray for an eternal perspective that rejoices daily in the fact that I get to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. I pray that perspective extends beyond myself and that I live and work in a way that sees others come to rejoice in eternal life as well.
