“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32
““You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16

As I read these verses, I think about how it’s our kindness that truly sets us apart from the world and its norms. Jesus demonstrated this throughout His ministry and time on earth, even when it went against precedent and convenience. I may never know what impact each interaction I encounter might have on others, but I hope that by spending more time with Jesus, I become more kind and compassionate to those around me. Lord, please rid me of my selfish ways that hinder me from fully radiating Your love and kindness. May my actions honor and glorify You.
