But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Luke 6:35-36

The remarkable thing about Jesus is that He identified with us in our sinful humanity in order that we can identify with Him in His divinity. He loves everyone from a pure heart with absolutely unbiased motives and makes a way for us to live like He did by empowering us with the Holy Spirit. He never commands us to do anything that He Himself did not do when He lived on earth. He is the perfect role model for us, our children, and our friends.

He tells us to do for others what we would have them do for us. (Luke 6:31) Whatever we do, good or bad, He will exponentially see to it that we will reap a harvest from our actions. If we choose to exchange the truth of God for a lie, He will give us over to the lie. If we choose to follow His truth and make it our guide for living, He will exponentially cause us to reap a harvest of righteousness, peace, and joy.

God sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous to water the seeds we have planted. God causes the sun to shine on everyone and everything so that the seeds will be energized to multiply. The same sun and rain work the same for everyone regardless of our race, nationality, culture, or heritage.

At Cypress Creek Church, we want to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. (Micah 6:8) We don’t do it perfectly, but we can rest assured, to whatever degree we are or are not doing that, God will see to it that we reap a harvest of both the good and bad seeds we are sowing.
