“If you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.”
Matthew 5:23-24

If someone I have had a friendship with begins to withdraw their fellowship from me, I sense a deep sadness in my spirit.

I wonder if I have done or said something to offend them.

God is faithful to show me when I have been at fault and I have to go and ask for forgiveness and try to reconcile.

Other times, if I haven’t done anything wrong, I feel like I need to go to them and do what I can to make things right.

When I do that before the Lord wants me to go to them, I have oftentimes made things worse.

I am in need of His  guidance in those situations because my relationship with Him and my friends are more important to me than anything else.

I pray He will guide me to accept my responsibility at the right time and in the right way.
