"Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. 'Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?' he asked Peter. 'Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.'”
Matthew 26:40-41
"Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me."
Acts 26:16

I am grateful for the understanding the Lord gave me about being an observer. By being a witness to the events that are happening in my life from His perspective I can notice little things that are going on that help me make sense of my circumstances. Now, instead of feeling obligated to speak into situations, I find myself patiently being more attentive to what is occurring around me. Being a spectator to what I see God doing and saying enables me to respond with His mercy and grace instead of reacting like I formerly had the habit of doing. I pray that God will make me more keenly aware of His activity in my life.
