“Show me Your ways, O LORD, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.”
Psalm 25:4-5

When my thoughts are directed toward God and His kingdom I have peace and joy.

Just as the needle of a compass always points to true north, no matter where it is oriented, my heart is always longing for fellowship with the Lord, no matter where my ego is trying to redirect my course. Every fork in the road has a right or left path I can follow but it is only when I am still that I can sense His guidance.

If I am anxious, fearful or uncertain, the best thing I can do is redirect my thoughts towards Him and enjoy fellowship with Him. Out of our communion, in the silence of every moment, I am able to hear His voice.

The confidence and assurance I have, when I direct my thoughts on Him, are like the needle on a compass that keep me properly oriented no matter what the challenges are that I am facing.

I pray that I will always be content simply being with Him, moment by moment, so that I will be consistently and perfectly aligned.
