"For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised."
2 Corinthians 5:14-15

In 2010, I finally submitted myself to God’s direct call on my life. I was on a path centered on selfish desires, focused on bringing peace and success solely for myself. When I truly began to place Jesus at the center of my life, my ultimate motive was changed. It was no longer about living for myself, but it was about living for Jesus, focusing on loving others and sharing Christ’s love with them.

To live out the love of Jesus is the ultimate call for all believers. When we submit ourselves to Him, we give up the desires and drive of our flesh. The parts of us that do not reflect the love of Jesus are put to death so that Christ’s love may be complete in us. Praise God that Christ died for all so that everyone may have an opportunity to experience and be forever changed by the power of His love and the goodness of His grace.

As we allow the love of Christ to control us, our purpose is transformed. There becomes an unrelenting desire to live for others. We accomplish this by meeting others’ relational, spiritual, and physical needs before our own comforts and desires. It becomes a gospel-centered mindset; our lives our propelled to know Jesus and make Him known to as many people as we can in our circles of influence. May today be a reminder of the call that Jesus has for us and how we can live in His love for others to see.
