Words are the means God has provided for me to communicate and interact with others, including Him. There are thousands of languages and dialects in the world and there is no way that anyone can know them all. Yet God knows every heart and is able to communicate with each person individually. Whether the words are written or vocal, they can uplift or destroy; encourage or dishearten. The older I get, the more I want to listen and observe instead of speak. When I do, I want my words to be edifying, encouraging and helpful in bringing people to the Lord. My prayer for today is that God will help me be a better listener and when I do speak, be more deliberate.
