"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Galatians 2:20
"Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?"
2 Corinthians 3:16

When the New Testament refers to my “old self” I understand that to be my ego. It is the source of all my rebellion and wants to be in control of my life. Its ambition, greed and arrogance are contrary to God and the way He wants me to live. My “new self” was formed in me through faith in Jesus Christ and I understand that to be Christ living in me. It is through Him that I become more and more conscious of God and His Kingdom. Without Him and His light I would still be in darkness. I am grateful that my Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit and Christ are residing in my physical body. I pray that the light of God will shine brighter and brighter in my life so that I will live increasingly more aware of Him and His ways.
