The apostle Peter, who had denied that he knew Jesus three times before Christ was crucified, was now boldly proclaiming that Jesus had been raised from the dead by God. His boldness was because he was filled with the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
The same mighty strength that God exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated him at His right hand in the heavenly realms is the same power He has given us who believe. The glorious riches and hope that the early church possessed are the same blessings that we enjoy today.
Our message has not changed in two thousand years. The disciples stood alongside the mistreated, and today, we are being led by the same Spirit to follow their example. Their calling reaches down through history and challenges us to do likewise.
