Just over a year ago, my wife and I took a leap of faith that felt pretty uncomfortable for us. Up to this point, both of us had been working to contribute financially for our family. God had made it crystal clear that the best thing for us was for Emily to come home full-time to be with our kids until everyone was officially in school. Needless to say, it was quite the financial adjustment. We weren’t exactly sure how it was going to work out, but we trusted God and each other with what we felt He was leading us to. This move has definitely had its struggles, but God has provided all that we need every step of the way. We have been blessed with everything we need, and more times than not, it hasn’t been super tight.
At the end of the day, we can stress and worry about all of our needs and how they will be met or what they will look like… OR we can trust God and know that He is who provides all we will ever need.
I’m also reminded of this: “But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”” Matthew 4:4
When we live for Jesus and pursue His Kingdom advancement first in faith, God grants us peace and all that we need to endure this life.
