I want to jump back to verse 8 in Romans 13, “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.” I love how Paul says that we don’t need to carry the burden of our sin, but the burden to love one another. He goes on by saying that when we do that, we are fulfilling the law.
As you continue to read down to verse 10, it says, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” It’s God’s love that transforms hearts and draws people to Him. We are called to be a vessel of His love. I know that I can struggle with this sometimes. My heart can get cloudy with judgment or resentment, making it hard to love. Thankfully, with God’s guidance, He helps me work through that so I can love well and see beyond people’s imperfections and struggles. The important part is that we do the work it takes to keep a pure heart so that we can love others well!
