"For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility."
Ephesians 2:14-16

God created us to live in righteousness, peace, and joy. Sin took that away and brought us the opposite. Jesus came to give it back so that we could be a holy nation, a royal priesthood, and God’s special possession. Jesus Christ redeemed us by sacrificing His life as the payment for us to be reconciled back to the Father.

However, we have been so conditioned to the darkness that when a ray of light from His new Kingdom shines in our heart, showing us the way to live the new way, we are fearful of giving up the comforts we used to manipulate the darkness. The new life in Christ is overflowing with rewards and blessings beyond measure, and it’s already paid in full. We have his commands; all we have to do is obey.
