Some of the darkest times of my life have been connected to personal times of struggle. At times, it has manifested in life hardships outside of my control. Other times, it has been of my own doing in choosing sin instead of pursuing holiness. What got me through those dark times was the people I had in my “inner circle.” People that loved the Lord and loved me enough to walk through the stickiness of life at that time. Having close relationships with people who can help through life’s ups and downs is crucial to our spiritual well-being. What makes it so impactful is the supernatural bond through the Holy Spirit that links us together in a similar mind and heart to pursue a right-standing relationship with Jesus. No matter where we find ourselves today, may we press into the light alongside those that seek after the same things.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
