Listen to Him! I can remember a day in High School when I wanted to drive to the next town over. My dad gave me specific instructions not to take our Honda Accord. The tires were bad, and in his loving, caring, and protective nature, he didn’t want me to get a flat. Well, I clearly knew more about tires than he did and went against his will. Well, you know how the story goes, it was a matter of time before I found myself stranded, alone, on the side of the road, in the dark.
I know now what I didn’t know then. My dad could see what I couldn’t. He knew more than me and had my best interest in mind. The same is true of our Heavenly Father. I don’t always understand the “why” behind His ways, but I know that His ways are better than being stranded on the side of the road.
