It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the worries of the day. What we wear in a day, what meal we are having next, the busyness of getting to the next event. Jesus reminds us to fix our eyes on the things that matter. “Seek the kingdom of God a over all else, and live righteously..” When our eyes are fixed on the kingdom of God, we have the opportunity to choose righteous living. The hope, restoration, redemption, and light of Christ overshadows our concerns with today.
So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Matthew 6:31-34
