When I look around me, I can see evidence of God’s creation everywhere. The galaxies, animals, plants and people. But where are the invisible things? They are there in my cranium between my ears. My thoughts, imagination, speculations, anxieties, ideas, goals, desires and fears. There are many more but the reality is, whether they are true or not, if I believe them then they become a part of my world and how I view it. This can be very dangerous if it doesn’t agree with the teaching of Jesus Christ. There have been numerous times, in my desire to pursue a deeper walk with the Lord, I have listened to and believed teachings that stimulated my mind but later rejected them because they were only feeding my ego. I want everything I learn to help me cultivate my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”
Colossians 1:16
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
