"While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
Luke 24:36

When I am in conflict with people, I want to solve it quickly. However, in my experience, this isn’t always possible. There have been times that I’ve been so consumed by an unresolved conflict that I get a headache, feel sick, and or depressed. The Lord has been using this to refine and grow me in and through over the last few years. He has started to teach me that amidst trials, big or small, He is there and He is my peace. What I mean by that is that, though I don’t know the outcome of a situation, I can know that God is in control, He is good, He wants the best for me, and He will work all things out for the good of His Kingdom and his glory.

In the passage above, Jesus’ disciples had just watched him be brutally beaten and crucified on a cross three days prior. They were now being told that the tomb in which his body had been laid was empty, and a few of them had claimed to have seen him. I can’t imagine what these disciples were feeling or thinking. Fear, worry, hope, troubled? When Jesus walked into the room, the first thing he said was “Peace be with you”. Before solving any problem or giving them any answers, He wanted them to know they could be at peace because He was with them. If you trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you too can be at peace through any circumstance because He is with you in every moment.
