“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” ‭‭
Romans 12:12

I have always been someone who takes pride in hard work and being able to do my very best, whether that be at home or in the workplace. About 4 years ago, all control I had in my job was taken from me. I was being overworked and taken advantage of. I was completely unable to do my job well, which led to anxiety and an immense amount of stress which I hadn’t felt before. In the shower one night, I reached up, and clumps of my hair were falling out. I knew then that doors needed to be closed, and I was desperate for God to show me a new path.

For the next few months, my Community Group came alongside me and asked God to bring clarity to the situation that I found myself in. I know now that God heard the prayers, and He was about to bring to life a new opportunity and dream of mine that I have had for many years. He made it very clear to me that it was time to step out in faith and give Him all control. God brought me out of a dark situation and guided me through the process of starting my own business. Just like this verse in Romans, where Paul talks about the marks of a true Christian, God restored my lost hope.
