“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:26-27
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.”
Ephesians 1:17-19

I know that my life in the Lord is spiritual in nature and gives me tremendous hope as I live in the physical world. My natural way of looking at the things which are happening is always a result of being influenced by my senses. I have been following Jesus for over fifty years and there are things I am just now learning about abiding in Him that are setting me free from my circumstances. It is like I am living in two completely different worlds; the one into which I was physically born and the one into which I was born when I came to faith in Jesus Christ. His Kingdom is more real to me now than the world of senses. As long as I have breath, there will always be this dichotomy. The Lord never changes and my new nature in Christ never changes. My life situation is changing continually, but now it doesn’t have the influence over me that it once did. I am so grateful that He is revealing Himself to me and helping me to see my life in Him as it really is.
