I remember a friend of mine whose life was transformed by a simple invitation. She came from a broken home and as a little girl she got invited to her friends house, who were believers, there she got to see first hand what a Godly family looked like. It completely transformed her life. Now she has a God fearing family of her own. This story has always convicted me. It reminds me to have an open door policy for the people in our lives that need a place of refuge. Not only was my friend physically invited into their home but she got invited into their lives. She got to do life with them. She got to see and learn what a healthy marriage looked like and what it looks like when peace and forgiveness reign in your home.
Who in your life needs an invitation? Jesus was always inviting people in, He invited us in.
God, thank you for inviting us into your family. Use us to invite others in. Amen.
