“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.”
Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭4

The more I know God’s nature, trust who he says he is, and obey and love him, the more aware I am of his great love for me and his presence in my life. The things of this world I thought were important start to fade into the background in light of eternity with him. As I read his word, he gently convicts me and leads me out of the darkness and brokenness I may be holding on to. When I pray, he hears every word, and I feel his peace that transcends all understanding come over me like a soft summer breeze when I need it the most. As I sit here and think about God’s goodness and his plans for me, I say, “It is well with my soul,” because I know he holds me in his righteous right hand. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. He has great plans for us here on Earth, but his greatest plan is that we will be in Heaven with him for eternity. What a glorious day that will be.
