I used to think that there was a difference between my will and God’s will. Now I realize that there is only His will. My will is only an illusion that I have contrived in my mind which, at the end of my life, dissipates into nothing. The only legacy of eternal value I can leave behind is what the Lord does in and through me during my brief period of existence in this realm. The choices I make without His guidance and counsel are doomed to failure. They may appear to be successful to others, but only in a material way that will also vanish. That is why I surrender my life and offer everything I have to God for His intended purpose. My prayer is for the Lord to transform every area of my life and expose those areas that are resisting Him.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Romans 12:2
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever."
