I’ve struggled with feeling “enough” for much of my life, especially in my professional roles. Doubts often spiral into fear and dread, leaving me exhausted and questioning why a loving God would allow it.
During one overwhelming season, a friend shared Joshua 1:9 with me, reminding me that throughout history, God has challenged ordinary men and women to step out in faith and trust Him completely. Joshua faced fear and uncertainty when called to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. Conquering the fierce Canaanites seemed impossible, but God’s command was clear:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear, for I go before you. I will fight your battles.”
This verse has become my anchor. Time and again, God brings it to mind when fear takes hold. I’ve learned He often calls us to things we can’t accomplish alone — that’s the point. I’m not enough in my own strength, but God’s power is.
Like Joshua, I’ve had to step out in faith, trusting God to handle what I can’t. Success isn’t about conquering my fears alone but about believing God is with me, fighting my battles.
This Easter, I encourage you to trust God with your “Canaanites.” Whatever you’re facing, take the next step in faith. He is with you, and the battle is already won.
